The other is not adjusting the center speaker's trim level as needed, depending on content.some folks just keep whatever initial settings that Audyssey or some other RC tool chooses, usually with poor results. stuffing it inside a cabinet pointed at shin/knee level. positioning of the center speaker is one of the most common causes of voice issues.e.g. It's slightly bothersome that, in the Harry Potter film case, voices are at that point where I think to myself "They could have made it 2.5-5db louder and it would be perfect".Ĭlick to expand. What's important is that I make that change at the start of a film and it usually stays there. Some movies I have to go to -10db to get what I'd consider "movie theater volume", and in others they are so loud that I bump it down to -20db. The fact that I notice between different movies that there's a greater db gap between voices & action sounds depending on the movie. I think what I'm doing is just complaining about the inevitable, maybe. I can't say that I've had to actively volume up or down on any movie I watch. I typically keep the volume around -15db to 17.5db for the Harry Potter films. I'll say this: I've watched 5 harry potter films already the past few days and I haven't really had to touch my remote once. I probably made this issue sound worse than it really is, or made it sound like I have some kind of setup / equipment problem.
